Postnatal visits include all regular checks for yourself and your newborn as well as providing support and advice as needed, up to 7 weeks post birth. There is no limit to how many visits you can have; this can be tailored to your needs.

Postnatal telehealth appointments provide support and advice as needed, up to 7 weeks post birth. There is no limit to how many appointments you can have; this can be tailored to your needs, however some conditions may require a face-to-face visit.

Medicare rebate $70 -$110 depending on your safety net balance, up to 7 weeks post birth

A lactation consult includes taking a history, inspecting your breasts and nipples, inspecting baby’s mouth and observing a breastfeed. As a midwife I will develop an individualised breastfeeding plan and can refer you to other health professionals if indicated.
